About SDSN Nigeria
Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) was announced by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in 2012 to lead the driving forces engaged in the Post-2015 development process following the expiration of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The Network mobilises leaders from the academia, business, civil society, government, development organizations and relevant stakeholders to promote problem solving and practical solutions for pressing challenges of sustainable development.
The Nigerian chapter (SDSN Nigeria) was inaugurated in 2013 as a consortium of Nigerian universities. Membership now opens to all academic institutions, research institutes and NGOs as well as CBOs with relevant projects in sustainable development. The SDSN-Nigeria Secretariat is hosted at the University of Ibadan Centre for Sustainable Development (CESDEV), Ibadan and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Centre for Sustainable Development, Awka, Nigeria.
